All children deserve to be loved, nurtured and kept safe from intentional and unintentional harm.

You will never regret the investment of time, love, and compassion you give to the life of a child.

CAPA offers a variety of programs to the community to help raise awareness about child abuse and its effects on the community.

The Child Abuse Prevention Association (CAPA) is a local non-profit organization, incorporated in 1981.  CAPA’s annual budget is $1.7 million with the Open Arms Children’s Home representing almost half of the total expenses.

Funding comes from fees for service, public grants, private grants, and grass-roots fundraising.  CAPA offers community and school-based outreach programs, safe sleep educationhome visitation, and foster care.
